Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has expelled its 11 leaders and activists permanently from the organization over the killing of Abrar Fahad, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET),
BCL acting president Al Nahian Khan Joy on Monday night disclosed the expulsion.
He said, “We have formed a probe body to look into Fahad murder. The committee has primarily found links of 11 into the murder. That is why the 11 have been expelled permanently from the organization.”
Abrar Fahad, 21, a second year student of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of BUET was found dead at his dormitory Sher-e-Bangla Hall early Monday. Police said they have found proof that Abrar was beaten to death.
Police have, so far, detained nine people, including four leaders of the university unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), in connection with the murder.
